Meet Our Staff
Stephanie Snyder
Executive Director
Stephanie started her career in sales and owned Johndle Video and Radioshack in Amery with her father before they closed in 2009. Stephanie then moved onto administrative work.
Stephanie is married to Scott Snyder. Together they have 4 children, Austin, Beau, Alec and Bailey. They have 2 grandchildren, Oliver and Stella. Stephanie and her husband live on Lake Wapogasset in Amery,
WI, where they both grew up.
Stephanie and Scott also own 80 acres in Clayton, WI where they enjoy hunting and fishing or anything else that involves the outdoors. Rylie and Remi, their two pups, join them on their adventures as often
as they can.
Stephanie’s true love is caregiving, which she has done most of her life, helping to raise her 6 brothers and sister and then later caring for her father.
Stephanie loves working at Red Cedar Canyon! Walking in to work and seeing the smiles on the faces of the residents and most of all coming into a ‘home’ filled with the loving and caring people at Red Cedar Canyon makes coming to work an absolute joy.
Jackie Paulson, LPN, CDP
Jackie works fulltime in our memory care unit (Cedar Cove) as the unit manager. She has been a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 35 years, specializing in geriatrics and specifically dementia. Jackie became a certified dementia practitioner in 2013 with the Council of Certified Practitioners, and also obtained a certification in the Music and Memory Program in 2015.
Jackie’s love for working with this population only continues to grow. Her days at Red Cedar Canyon are filled with laughter, exploration, companionship and food! Jackie is a mother and grandmother, garden enthusiast and a lover of dogs and yoga.
Berit Strom
Therapeutic Recreation Director
Berit is the Therapeutic Recreation Director at Red Cedar Canyon. She feels very fortunate to be able to work and engage with the residents on a variety of levels every day.
Berit has a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Minnesota. Her love for the older adult population developed in High School when she was an Activity Aide in a small skilled care facility. Berit strives to not only create a positive living experience for the residents, but also encourages Body, Mind, and Spiritual growth through varied active living engagement activities. These can include: strength, movement and balance exercise classes, arts and crafts, baking, games, music, therapy animals, nature/gardening, guest entertainment and community outings to name a few. Working with and caring about the older adult population for over 20 years has been a real passion for Berit. Making days and moments great are daily goals in addition to caring for the emotional health of the residents. She is available to be their confidant, trouble shooter, one-on-one companion, and friend. In her off time, Berit enjoys time in the country with her husband of 30 years, three almost adult children, dogs and chickens. She loves a new travel experience, staying active cross country skiing, playing with her dogs, gardening, cooking, being creative, swimming and lounging by the pool. Berit is very proud to be part of The Red Cedar Canyon Team!
Dillon Orf
Maintenance Director
Dillon has worked at Red Cedar Canyon since March of 2020, and has several years of experience as a fantastic handyman. Dillon is a “jack of all trades” and is very good at finding solutions to ensure things run smoothly at the community. Additionally, Dillon is kind-hearted
and patient; these traits are invaluable when working with seniors.
Dillon has been married since August of 2018. It is never a dull moment at their household with their wonderful young son, three dogs, and two chickens. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and flying. In 2014, Dillon earned his Private Pilot License and loves traveling with his wife.
